My weanling filly has snotty nose and cough but no fever and eats and plays?
I just bought a weanling filly from a farm I work at. It seems every year the babies always get snotty noses and cough but they never run a fever and always have an appetite and run and play. also it nevr spreads to the older horses or thier mothers. SMZs never seem to do much either. This is also their second round of the snots this summer. Anyways I want to bring her home but no one else wants me to for fear of getting their horses sick. So I was wondering what they have and if its just a baby thing, is it contagoius, and should I just wait to bring her home?
I put this in the wrong category

Have you called the vet and asked for advice? It might be helpful just to be sure. Have fun with your new pal! =)
